RESOLUTION NO. 2008-20

A RESOLUTION 1000 Friends of MN
WHEREAS, the Corcoran City Council desires to enter into the Community Growth Options
program by the McKnight Foundation through 1000 Friends of Minnesota, and
WPIEREAS, the City of Corcoran intends to fund such an approach with the assistance of the
Community Growth Options Program, and
WI-3EREAS, the City of Corcoran is committed to transparent and inclusive public planning
processes with diverse and broad citizen representation and is open to high level of information -sharing
in the planning process. The City Officials, as well as members of the public, would intend to
participate in Community Growth Options workshops and trainings, as appropriate, and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran contains a high proportion of sensative lands, including
wetlands, streams, and pockets of original forest area.
BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby support this application to the Community Growth
Options program and commit the City of Corcoran to planning framework that includes community
visioning, comprehensive planning, ordinance development/updating, plan implementation/developing
action items, policies and procedures audit and ongoing internal education and training; and
