RESOLUTION REGARDING THE CORCO�:AN POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCESSING THE
MINNESOTA COMPUTERIZED CRIMINAL HISTORY SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Corcoran Police Department will run criminal background checks for McGruff house
applicants as stated in MSS 299A.28;
WHEREAS, the Corcoran Police Department will run criminal background checks for licensed home daycare
as stated in MSS 245 A.04;
WHEREAS, the Corcoran Police Department will run criminal background checks for firefighters as permitted
by MSS 299F.035 ;
WHEREAS, the Corcoran Police Department will run criminal background checks for liquor licenses; peddler
license; firearm applications; and criminal justice employment;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Corcoran will obtain signed consent for
any background checks run, other than for criminal justice purposes; any applicants that are denied based on the
background check shall be notified of the denial; in questioned identity situations, the Corcoran Police
Department may request fingerprin
and date of birth.
