HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2020-17 Extending Mayor's Declaration of Emergency 3.20.2020City of Corcoran March 20, 2020 County of Hennepin State of Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 2020-17 Page 1 of 1 Motion By: Dejewski Seconded By: Bottema A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF A MAYOR-DECLARED EMERGENCY PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES §12.29 AND §12.37 WHEREAS, Ron Thomas, Mayor of the City of Corcoran, declared a local emergency due to the local, state, national and global impact caused by the COVID-19 virus; and WHEREAS, the City Council agrees with the Mayor’s findings and further finds that the COVID-19 pandemic will last for more than three days. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Corcoran hereby continues the local emergency declaration made by Corcoran Mayor Ron Thomas until The Peacetime State of Emergency declared by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is formally terminated, or unless further extended or shortened by the Corcoran City Council prior to such termination.
