City Council Special Meeting Minutes
November 149 2022 — 50.00 pm
The Corcoran City Council met on November 14, 2022, in Corcoran, Minnesota. The City Council work
session meeting was held in person and the public was present in person and remotely through electronic
means using the audio and video conferencing platform Zoom.
Acting Mayor Bottema, Councilor Nichols, Councilor Schultz, and Councilor Vehrenkamp were present.
Mayor McKee was excused.
City Administrator Beise and City Clerk Friedrich were present.
1. Call to Order /Roll Call
Acting Mayor Bottema called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. Acting Mayor Bottema noted
Minnesota statutes election results must be canvass no sooner than three days following the
election and no later than 10 days following the election. Once the final results are received by the
county staff will update the final resolution and present the final results at the meeting.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
Acting Mayor Bottema invited all in attendance to rise and join in the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Agenda Approval
MOTION: made by Schultz, seconded by Nichols to approve the agenda as presented.
Voting Aye: Bottema, Nichols, Schultz, and Vehrenkamp
(Motion carried 4:0)
4. Open Forum
No persons were present for open forum.
5. New Business
a. Canvass the Results of the 2022 Municipal Election
City Clerk Friedrich presented the official results report and noted a copy of the tally of the write-in
candidates for municipal office would be available for the Council to review and kept on file. Council
and staff discussed future precincts and voter population within each precinct.
MOTION: made by Bottema, seconded by Nichols to adopt Resolution
November 8, 2022 Municipal Election Returns and Declaring Results.
Voting Aye: Bottema, Nichols, Schultz, and Vehrenkamp
(Motion carried 4:0)

No unscheduled items were heard.
7. Adjournment
MOTION: made by Bottema, seconded by Nichols to adjourn.
