RESOLUTION NO. 2023-50

A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK
AND PUBLIC WORKS STAFF
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran finds it important to recognize the work of the City's public works
department; and
WHEREAS, National Public Works Week is May 21-27, 2023; and
WHEREAS, as part of National Public Works Week, efforts are recognized within the City's public works
department staff and includes director superintendent supervisor crew leaders and maintenance
workers; and
WHEREAS, the City recognizes the efforts made enacting the City's vision and goals while providing,
responding, collaborating, and improving services to residents of Corcoran, including infrastructure and
road maintenance, stormwater maintenance, park maintenance, signage related maintenance, and
dedicated community service; and
WHEREAS, the City recognizes the public works staff in maintaining the City's plows, water trucks, lawn
and garden tractors, and heavy equipment, utilized on the coldest winter nights, and the hottest summer
days; and
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran recognizes the time, energy, and dedication, provided by the City's
public works department.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Corcoran, the City Council hereby honors public
works staff and recognizes National Public Works Week.
