WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has an existing Public Works organizational structure which
must be adjusted as the City grows in order to meet the needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to create and amend job descriptions as outlined in this
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Corcoran:
1. The City amends the job description of the Public Works Director to Public
Works Director as attached to this report; effective January 1, 2022, Kevin
Mattson is placed at Grade 19 Year 4 Step; for the purpose of benefit
accruals, all existing years of service continue to this amended position.
2. The City establishes a new position titled Operations Superintendent which is
attached to this report; effective January 1, 2022, Pat Meister is appointed to
this position at Grade 15 Year 5 Step; for the purpose of benefit accruals, all
existing years of service continue to this amended position.
3. The City amends the job description of the Public Works Superintendent to
Operations Supervisor as attached to this report; effective January 1, 2022,
Brandon Heinz is appointed to this position at Grade 13 Year 3 Step; for the
purpose of benefit accruals, all existing years of service continue to this
amended position.
4. Staff is authorized to initiate an internal hiring process to fill the now vacant
position of Public Works Crew Leader , the hire is subject to final approval by
the City Council.
