A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE
TEXT OF SECTION 1060.110 OF CORCORAN ZONING ORDINANCE (CITY FILE 22-005)
WHEREAS, Cedar Creek Energy ("the applicant") has requested an amendment to the ground
mounted solar energy standards; and
WHEREAS ,staff has analyzed the request and recommended allowing more area for ground
mounted solar energy systems, but using a different method than the applicant proposed; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the request at a duly called Public Hearing
and recommends approval, and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, MINNESOTA, that it does approve an amendment to Title X (Zoning Ordinance)
of the City Code to amend the ground mounted solar energy system standards, based on the
following findings:
1. The proposed amendment would be consistent with State law and the City's
Comprehensive Plan,
2. The proposed amendment would allow for consistent groun
system size independent of accessory structures.

4. The proposed amendment continues to scale the allowable ground mounted solar
energy system with the size of the property.
