Present were Commissioners Asleson, Christenson, Gmach, Guenther, Lother, Theis, and Tilbury. Also present were City Administrator Martens and City Clerk/Administrative Services Coordinator Beise. 1.Call to Order Commission Chair Lother called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. 2.Pledge of Allegiance Commission Chair Lother invited all in attendance to rise and join in the Pledge of Allegiance. 3.Approval of Agenda MOTION: made by Gmach, seconded by Asleson to approve the agenda as presented. Voting Aye: Asleson, Christenson, Gmach, Guenther, Lother, Theis, and Tilbury. (Motion carried 7:0) 4.Open Forum No persons were present for Open Forum. 5.Approval of Minutes a.Draft Minutes of November 13, 2018 meeting MOTION: made by Asleson, seconded by Guenther to approve the November 13, 2018 Draft Minutes as presented. Voting Aye: Asleson, Christenson, Gmach, Guenther, Lother, Theis, and Tilbury. (Motion carried 7:0) 6.Unfinished Business a.Discussion on Implementing a Ward System City Clerk/Administrative Services Coordinator Beise presented information on implementing a ward system. The commission discussed the pros and cons of implementing a ward system. The commission discussed if or when a ward system should be implemented. The Commission did not recommend further action be taken to implement a ward system. 7.New Business No new business was presented. 8.Adjournment MOTION: made by Gmach, seconded by Tilbury to adjourn. Voting Aye: Asleson, Christenson, Gmach, Guenther, Lother, Theis, and Tilbury. The Commission meet in work session on March 28, 2019 to discuss a ward system for elections. No action was taken. The Commission’s annual meeting was held on November 25, 2019.
