The most recent means of public engagement was compiled utilizing an online survey, via email to Recreation Supervisor Christensen Buck, and surveys at the open house held at City Hall on Thursday, May 19 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. 26 surveys were submitted online, 1 person emailed Recreation Supervisor Christensen Buck, and 2 surveys were completed. Excited to see things grow and develop. o Make the splash pad style like Delano  Have the splash pad fenced to avoid children running through when they’re not supposed to  Offer rentals of the splash pad The purpose of the work session is to review the feedback gathered during the public engagement process and determine if any adjustments should be made to the plans. Once the Commission has come to a consensus on any adjustments that they see fit, staff will bring the information back to Stantec so they can update the plans and budget. Below is a timeline for the process: • June 16, 2022: Parks and Trails Commission reviews feedback and provides any recommended updates to the plans • June/July 2022: Stantec to review and update plans/budget • August 18, 2022: Staff to bring updated plans to Parks and Trails Commission • August 2022: Stantec to make any changes following Parks and Trails Commission feedback • September 15, 2022: Parks and Trails Commission to review and make recommendation to Council • September 22, 2022: City Council review and approval • Fall 2022: Submit final plans for Hennepin County Youth Sports Grant ($300,000) Attachments: 2a.
