HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2022-78 Election Judges 2022City of Corcoran June 23, 2022 County of Hennepin State of Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 2022-78 Page 1 of 2 Motion By: Bottema Seconded By: Vehrenkamp A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE 2022 ELECTION CYCLE WHEREAS, a State Primary Election will be held on August 9, 2022, and a State General Election will be held on November 8, 2022; and WHEREAS, MN Statute 204B.21, subd.2, requires election judges for precincts in a municipality be appointed by the governing body of the municipality; and WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran has three voting precincts; and WHEREAS, the following Minnesota residents have agreed to serve as election judges and have met the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota, or will be receiving training prior to the elections and will be eligible to serve after meeting the qualifications established by the State of Minnesota; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Corcoran hereby appoints the following persons to be eligible election judges for the 2022 State Primary, and General Election, with the understanding that amendments may be necessary to the appointments in order to fill vacancies and meet party splits; and approves payment of an hourly wage of $10.00 per hour for elections judges and, $10.50 per hour for head judges for election judge training, direct balloting assistance, and time served on election day.
