A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR FUNDING THE CITY OF CORCORAN WATER
WHEREAS, t
WHEREAS, t

he City of Corcoran is a growing community of 67400 residents; and

City of Corcoran currently contracts for water supply from City of Maple
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran began planning for the City's first water supply system
in 2019 which will serve the northeast portion of City; and
WHEREAS, there are 1,984.1 buildable acres of land in the northeast portion of the City
of Corcoran which the water supply system would serve; and
WHEREAS, there are 568 single family homes which are cu
this system with many additional acres to be developed into
projects; and

WHEREAS, the City is completing design for a complete water

facility, and water storage; and

WHEREAS, the City anticipates final design to be complete in fall of 2022 and
construction to begin in 2023 or before; and

large portion of the costs; and
WHEREAS, the City is prepared to comm
anticipated project costs; and

WHEREAS, the City is seeking $4 million in funds from the Community Project Funding
program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORCORAN, hereby support the funding r
