A RESOLUTION COMMENCING PROCEEDINGS TO VACATE THE CAIN ROAD RIGHT-OF-
WAY EASEMENT AT 20700 70T" AVENUE NORTH (PID 27-119-23-44-0022)
(CITY FILE 21-025)
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran received a request from the owners of real property located at
20700 70t" Avenue North to vacate an existing road right-of-way easement encumbering the
property;
WHEREAS, the City Council can initiate the vacation process on its own motion and afour-fifths
majority vote per Minnesota State Statute 412.8210,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORCORAN
MINNESOTA:
1. The City Council hereby approves the request to commence the vacation process of the
Cain Road right-of-way.
2. The property owner shall submit an application fee of $350.00 and an escrow of
$1, 000.00.
3. As part of the right-of-way vacation request, the property owner is also requesting a
drainage and utility easement vacation that will be processed concurrently.
4. The City will provide proper legal notice of a Public Hearing to be held at a future City
Council meeting to further discuss the road easement vacation.
