JOINT CORCORAN CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
NOVEMBER 20, 1997
CALL TO ORDE92OLL CALL
City Planner, Gary Eitel called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present were Mayor Larkin,
Council Members Dixie Lindsley and Ken Guenthner. Planning Commissioners John Bucher,
Tom Sydloski, and Bill Glowacki.
Members excused: Cindy Patnode and Toni Hohenstein.
Members absent: Ken Kluck, Ernie Mayers, Loren Kohnen, Don Jeszewski, Carl Kalk, and
Terry Zimmerman.
Also present was City Planner Gary Eitel and Deputy Clerk Judy Splett.
There were 2 people in the audience at the meeting.
On a motion by Bucher, seconded by Lindsley, to approve the minutes from October 16, 1997
Joint City Council/Planning Commission meeting.
Motion carried unanimously.
There was a lengthy discussion by the Council and Planning Commission regarding the process
of assigning the different components and options that were submitted by Gary. The discussion
included the following:
• Creation of small working groups
• Inform city staff of date, time & location of small group meetings
• Interfacing with the larger group
• Open house for public input/information
• Dividing the city into quarters for the open house
• Newsletter desginated for comprehensive plan information
• Develop a format
• Having the open house on a Saturday to accommodate all 4 quarters of the city
• Open house to be held in March with the newsletter going out 2 weeks prior
The consensus of the members was to reconvene at the January 22, 1.998 City Council Policy
meeting and to invite the Met Council.
Brief discussion on the timeframe. for base mapping to be done. Vince will be asked to submit an
estimate for the base mapping.

On a motion by Lindsley, seconded by Mayers to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 p.m.
Motion carried unanimously.
