Mayor Guenthner reconvened the workshop at 6:00 p.m., on November 8, 2001, a
continuation from October 11, 2001. The purpose of the meeting was to address
the City Codes.
Present were Councilors Bucher, Gmach, Guenthner and Thomas, Attorney Jeff
Carson and City Clerk Vergin. Councilor Gageby was excused absent.
The agenda was approved by consensus.
The Council reviewed the status of where they were with the overall review of the
city codes.
Continued on Animals
Key points from the discussion included:
• Grazing area versus paddock area
• Non-ag uses adjacent to ag uses
• Setback considerations
• Animal Units
The proposed setback for stabling or sheltering facility was identified as 120 feet
from any lot line.
Council members and staff will further work on the animal unit spreadsheet to
better identify the number of animal units that would be sustainable on set acres.
Mayor Guenthner recessed the workshop at 6:50 p.m., and announced that it would
be continued on November 29, 2001 at 6:00 p.m.
