City of Corcoran – Waste Water Presentation – Minutes
September 10, 2001
WWC Chair Jim Bullert opened meeting at 7:05 PM.
Attending: Ken Olson U of M Extension Educator, General Public, John Bucher,
David Gageby, Ron Thomas, David Andersen, John Spaeth, Dorothy Theis, Greg
Ebert, Jim Bullert, Stan Chastek, Paul Jacobs, Ken Kluck, Bill Halverstadt, Brent
Anderson, Roberta Colotti, and Vince Vander Top.
Excused Absent: Ken Guenthner, George Gmach, Loren Kohnen, LaVerne Hanson
Jr., Terry Zimmerman, and Diane Walli.
Speaker
Ken Olson, U of M Extension Educator, On-site Sewage Treatment.
Mr. Olson spoke about individual septic systems, collective systems and alternative
systems. He talked about the pros & cons of each type of system. Emphasizing the
need for communities to develop a ranking system for evaluating any proposed
system. His presentation was for informational purposes. The committee members
and public members in attendance gained insight into options available for
wastewater treatment as they work together to prepare the comprehensive plan.
A question and answer period was held at the end of the presentation.
Conclusion
The meeting was concluded with the end of the presentation at 9:45 PM
