TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING
DECEMBER 2, 2002

Mayor Guenthner called the Truth in Taxation hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. on
December 2, 2002. Present were Councilors Bucher, Gageby, Gmach, and
Guenthner, and Administrator Vergin. Councilor Thomas was excused absent.
MOTION by Gageby, seconded by Gmach to approve the Agenda as presented.
Voting Aye: Bucher, Gageby, Gmach and Guenthner.
Administrator Vergin provided an overview of the proposed 2003 Budget and the
tax impacts from payable 2002 to payable 2003 based on the proposed levy.
Mayor Guenthner asked for public comments. Members of the public present were
Bill Treptau and Chuck Lymangood. No comments were made.
MOTION by Bucher, seconded by Gageby to close the hearing for public
comments. Voting Aye: Bucher, Gageby, Gmach and Guenthner.
General comments by the council included market value versus tax capacity;
commercial versus residential; and the need to address the fire protection contracts.
MOTION by Bucher, seconded by Gmach to adjourn the Truth in Taxation
Hearing at 7:18 p.m. Voting Aye: Bucher, Gageby, Gmach and Guenthner.
