Directed staff to prepare a Resolution supporting the Highway 55 Corridor
Coalition, but informing them that the City would not formally commit at this
time. This will be considered at the June 13, 2002 council meeting.
Engineer Vander Top reported on the neighborhood meeting that was held
regarding the proposed improvement to Hage Drive. With city involvement the
assessments for each property has been estimated at $2917. Of the 19 property
owners present, only two voiced that they were not in favor of the improvement.
At this time staff is seeking authorization from the council to proceed, which
would entail staff meeting with residents on Hage Drive to identify what ditch
work would be performed, performing that work, and then in June / July prepare
the feasibility report to consider moving forward with the bituminous
improvement. It was noted that even if the bituminous portion of the project does
not occur, the ditch work should be done.
Staff reported that they will be setting a neighborhood meeting with the residents
of Chisholm Trail to address the improvement project, as had been done with
Hage Drive.
MOTION by Thomas, seconded by Bucher, to ratify the Police Reserve Manual.
