The purpose of the workshop was to address city codes. Present were Councilors Bucher, Gageby, Gmach, Guenthner and Thomas, and Clerk Vergin, Police Chief Schutte and Attorney Carson. The agenda was approved by consensus. The Council reviewed where they had left off, which codes are done and which ones are left to be reviewed. Addressed the need to define “agriculture building”. Suggested that the Green Acres and Agriculture Preserve classifications be included in the criteria. The Electronic Communications Policy and Ordinance were reviewed – no changes were recommended. Animals – Need to define the animal units and revisit the Commercial and Hobby Kennel regulations. Nuisances – some minor changes regarding proper verbiage and spelling corrections. Weed section will be modified. Vergin will confirm changes with Councilor Gmach. Open Burning will be compared to existing ordinance. Agreed that noise nuisances could be handled through the General Nuisance regulations. However, a definition for parties and large gatherings should be incorporated. Mayor Guenthner recessed the workshop at 6:55 p.m. Respectfully Submitted: ____________________________ Susan Vergin, CMC City Clerk Opened Roll Call Review of Code Status Workshop Recessed
