RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO FACILITATE THE CLOSING OF THE PURCHASE OF A
SUBDIVIDED PORTION OF PID 12-119-23-22=0001 AND FURTHER AUTHORIZE THE
ADMINISTRATOR TO WIRE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Corcoran (City) enfiered into a purchase agreement dated February 27,
2020 (the "Agreement") with Brian L. Lother and Jacqueline K. Lother (the "Lothers") to purchase a
subdivided portion of the property identified as PID 12-119-23-22-0001, and legally described as Lot 1,
Block 1, Hunters Place, according to the recorded plat thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota (the
'Subject Parcel"); and
WHEREAS, the Cifiy has completed its due diligence investigation of the Subjecfi Parcel and has
determined that the real property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, (the "Property") is suitable for
the City's intended use. The Property has been subdivided from the Subject Parcel and a final plat
approved for the same by the City of Corcoran in February of 2021. The City is now prepared to close on
the purchase of the Property; and
WHEREAS, in March of 2021, the City and the Lothers executed a First Amendment to the
Agreement which specified the parties' agreement for the Lothers to sell and the City to purchase the
Property described in Exhibit A, and further established the total purchase price for the same; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corcoran desires to formally authorize the Mayor and
City Administrator to execute all documents necessary and proper tU facilitate the closing Of the purchase
of the Property and authorize the City Administrator to execute a wire transfer to the office of the selected
closer of all applicable purchase funds, including the purchase price and all closing and transactional
costs.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of fihe City of Corcoran hereby
authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to execute all documents necessary and proper to facilitate
the closing of the purchase of the Property, and further authorizes the City Administrator to execute a
wire transfer to the office of the selected closer of all applicable purchase funds, including the purchase
price and all closing and transactional costs.
